Jason Hopkins is a multi-disciplinary creative consultant, known for designing e-commerce websites and complex web application projects. With over 17 years experience in digital media, he brings a proven knowledge of creative strategy, a user centered approach, a passion for high quality creative solutions and an enthusiasm for creating great work that will achieve positive results.
Jason is known for taking on every client brief head on, whether it’s print, branding, packaging, advertising, user experience or UI Visual Design.
Jason’s key skill are around user-centered design, his passion is to create memorable User Experiences (UX) and creative visual designs (UI) to enhance user satisfaction.
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, Sketch and Axure, Jason is skilled in developing and enhancing the skills of the design team to create more engaging apps and website solutions.
Jason is a leader of inspiring and effective creative processes. He uses his creative craft and first hand experiences together with his understanding of various design platforms and grasp of the culture to solve marketing challenges for a wide variety of clients.
He understands the value of a strong strategy, and by utilising trend analysis, market and user research, he focuses on making sure the work produced is grounded in real insights that complement business and user goals. Not only that, but he can effectively communicate why his ideas are strategically sound.
His interest have always been in human centered design and the psychology of “why we do what we do” no matter what the medium. As a mentor, what he feels he can bring to the table is the knowledge and experience of how to build upon and share ideas, how to present concepts, create buy-in and how to champion and deliver successful creative projects from start to finish in complex web and app environments.
My proudest achievements include becoming an elected associate member of the prestigious D&AD and having work published in a Superbrands book.
Throughout his career, Jason has experienced working for design agencies, advertising agencies, software companies, client side, freelancing, contracting and running his own design company. Skilled in business-to-business and consumer communications, his knowledge and experience includes branding, corporate communications, brochures, magazine design, direct mail, integrated advertising campaigns, user experience and user interface design.
A conceptual designer who is happy working from strategy to delivery. He now spends most of his time working with creative teams to deliver complex web applications, or e-commerce projects for large corporate companies.
